About Us

Meet the Founder

Built by someone who lives the Weekend Warrior life.

I'm John Serda -lifelong Mobile, Alabama guy who spent the last two decades building local businesses instead of training for the Olympics.

I owned Serda's Coffee Co. in downtown Mobile for 14 years and later started Serda Brewing, which I ran for five years.

Coffee in the mornings, beer at night — real life in between.

Somewhere along the way, I realized something:

Sports drinks weren't made for people like me — or most people I know.

The Origin

The Moment That Sparked Weekend Warrior

Every sports drink seemed to assume I was either:

  • Training for a marathon
  • Headed to the gym twice a day
  • Or trying to shave milliseconds off my personal best

Meanwhile, my "sport" looked more like:

  • Mowing the lawn in the Alabama heat
  • Working events
  • Fishing, boating or enjoying the beach
  • Or just surviving a long weekend with friends and drinks

I didn't need hype.
I didn't need neon colors.
I just needed something that worked — without pretending I was someone I'm not.

I built Weekend Warrior because I was tired of sports drinks pretending everyone is training for the Olympics.

What We Stand For

Our Brand Philosophy

The Sport of Real Life

Weekend Warrior is hydration for the sport of real life — the stuff that actually fills your days.

Fan Favourite

Humor over Hype

We don't take ourselves too seriously because life already does that for us.

Bestseller

Real People over Influencers

Our heroes aren't sponsored athletes — they're lawn-mower gladiators, carpool captains, sideline legends, and weekend legends.

The Difference

Why This Isn't Just Another Drink

I've spent my career building brands from scratch — locally, honestly, and the hard way.

Weekend Warrior is no different. It's:

  • Low sugar
  • Clean ingredients
  • Nothing artificial
  • And made for people who live full lives, not highlight reels
Weekend Warrior drinks
